When viewing roster, the green bar shows the actual labour cost of the roster (A) vs. the budgeted labour cost of the roster (B). The number in brackets is the labour cost as a percentage of sales for the day.
When rostered labour cost exceeds what you have budgeted, a red dot appears next to the actual cost. If it is under, the dot is green.
For this to work, you need to enter:
- daily sales (double tap the left side of the green bar)
- target labour/sales percentage (tap middle of green bar) OR
- Go to Roster > Roster Settings, and enter these under 'Targets'
The ATO provides benchmarks on on labour cost/sales (turnover)
