What is 'Auto Break Calculation'?

Auto Break Calculation is a setting that enables you to provide unpaid breaks.

Auto Break Calculation On

If turned on, employees working longer than a set time will have an unpaid break deducted from their hours. You will need to set the:

1. Minimum Shift for Auto Break
2. Break Length

Example

• Auto Break Calculation: On
• Minimum Shift for Auto Break: 5 hours 
• Break Length: 30 mins
• Employee Shift: 9am - 4pm (7hrs)

This means that the employee will get paid for 6h 30m, by allowing for a 30 minute unpaid break.

Auto Break Calculation Off

If turned off, all hours worked will be paid, i.e. if any breaks are taken, they will be paid.

To turn Auto Break Calculation On/Off go to Timesheets > Kiosk Settings > Breaks
