Overview
Year To Date (YTD) Pay Balances are what you paid your employees during the tax year before using the BiYP app. These are:
- Gross Earnings
- Allowances
- Deductions
- Superannuation
- Tax Withheld (PAYG)
What you need to know
- You have never used Single Touch Payroll (STP) software before OR
- In your previous STP payroll solution, you did not enter employees' YTD pay balances. (Reporting YTD pay balances in more than one STP payroll solution will result in overstatement of employees' pay)
Key reasons for including YTD Pay Balances
- Avoids the need to issue manual Income Statements (formerly known as Payment Summaries) for the period prior to using the BiYP app
- Ensures pay data is complete in the employee's MyGov Account for the tax year
- Employee Payslips issued by BiYP include the sum of YTD pay balances and subsequent pay runs processed in the tax year
How to add YTD Pay Balances in BiYP
